Nice Ice, Baby! Take the Kids Skating at Beech Mountain Resort

So, what to do if you're heading up to Beech Mountain with the family, and some of the people in your group don't ski?" How about ice skating! It's fun and the village atmosphere at Beech Mountain Resort makes it extra fun!

A centerpiece of the Beech Mountain Resort’s Alpine Beech Tree Village is the 7,000 square-foot outdoor, and refrigerated  (No fear of temporary thaws ruining your glide here!), ice skating rink.  Open daily and well into the evenings, the rink is a favorite among all skill levels of skaters.

There's a little bit of history connected to the rink as well, as it has served as the location for skating exhibitions featuring Jimmy and Margaret Durham and many other world-famous skaters, back in the 70's.

Enjoy music, and the shops and cafes surrounding the rink, where you can get a hot drink or snack when you take a rest break while the Zambini grooms the ice.  Or gather round the nearby fire pit to toast marshmallows . . . and maybe your nose and fingers too!  Beech Mountain Resort staff can also arrange a pizza party, and provide information about their affordable group rates.

Skating offers everyone in your group a fun-filled activity for a beautiful winter day on Beech Mountain.
