Beech Mountain - Great Place For Birdwatching

The North Carolina Birding Trail includes Beech Mountain (location #5) on its list of recommended spots for getting a glimpse of several notable species of our fine feathered friends:  Ruffed Grouse, Cedar Waxwing, Black‐and‐white Warbler, Black‐throated Green Warbler, Black‐throated Blue Warbler, Canada Warbler, etc.

I would add that watching the hummingbirds from our deck is one of our favorite summer pastimes. With the backdrop of our fantastic mountain view, it's a really lovely way of relaxing after the day's fun.
